If Pepper Potts was powerful enough to put on the Rescue armor and fight Thanos’ army alongside the Avengers, it’s strange that she never became a permanent member of the team. She had the technology, combat capability, and access to Tony Stark’s entire legacy of armor development. John McClane realizes the Nakatomi Plaza roof has been rigged with explosives while the FBI helicopters approach, unaware of the trap. When McClane tries to warn the hostages, the agents mistake him for one of the terrorists and open fire. With nowhere else to go, McClane grabs a fire hose, wraps it around himself, and makes a terrifying leap from the roof. Just as he jumps, Hans Gruber detonates the explosives, destroying the roof and one of the helicopters. McClane manages to swing into a window and survive, but the hose reel breaks loose and nearly drags him back out of the building.

This clip proves that Tom’s spider-sense isn’t missing. It’s just quieter than people want it to be. On that wrecked Tower Bridge, he’s beaten, bleeding, surrounded by Mysterio’s drones and lies, and still tracks the real threat instead of swinging at holograms. That’s not a weak tingle. That’s a kid whose danger sense grew up and started reading intent instead of just dodging punches. No Way Home made it even clearer when he felt Norman snap in real time.
