Reading X without an account has become genuinely difficult. Profiles hide behind sign-up walls, threads cut off after a couple of posts, and half the “free downloader” sites are a maze of fake buttons, redirects and pop-ups that install something you never asked for.

That felt like a problem worth fixing. Public posts are public. Looking at one should not require an account, an app, or a fight with three interstitial ads.

So we built the tool we wanted: paste a link or a handle, get the profile, the thread, the media or the file, and get on with your day.

• Viewer — read public profiles, posts, threads, replies and media without logging in.
• Video downloader — save public X videos as HD MP4, with every available quality listed.
• Bulk downloader — queue many links at once and get a single .zip.
• MP3 converter — pull just the audio from a video.
• GIF downloader — save X's looping clips properly.
• Screenshot tool — capture a post as a clean, high-resolution PNG.
• Favourites and alerts — keep the profiles you follow closely and get told when they post.

Everything works in the browser on a phone, tablet or computer. There is nothing to install.

When you paste a link, we look up the public post data for the seconds it takes to find the media, and then your browser fetches the video or image directly from X's own content servers. The files never pass through our servers and we never keep a copy.

We only read public content. Private accounts, protected posts, direct messages, deleted posts and follower-only content are invisible to us, and we are not going to build a way around that.

Everything on X belongs to the person who posted it. Our tools do not change that, and using one does not give you any rights in what you save.

Downloading for personal viewing, or for a purpose the law already allows — commentary, criticism, news reporting, research, archiving — is what this is for. Re-uploading someone's video as your own, or monetising it, is not, and that is on you rather than on us.

Tweet Viewer is an independent project. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by X Corp. or Twitter, Inc. We do not have special access to X, we are not a partner, and we do not speak for them. “X” and “Twitter” are trademarks of their respective owners, used here only to describe what the tools do.

• Free. The tools stay free to use, without a paywall.
• No account required. Signing in is optional and only syncs your own saved lists between devices.
• No dark patterns. No fake download buttons, no forced redirects, no bundled software.
• Minimal data. We collect as little as we can, and our Privacy Policy says plainly what that is.
• Responsive. A real person reads every message.

To keep the Site online and free, it is supported by advertising. That covers hosting and lets us keep improving the tools without charging anyone.
