Together with @cartier_cath and Jonathan Saul, we looked at two different oil slicks seen on satellite imagery. The slick at the southern tip of Qeshm Island is estimated to stretch approx 160KM according to @wammezz. A second slick was spotted near the smaller Sirri Island in the centre of the Gulf about 100 km southwest of Qeshm and home to some Iranian offshore oil and gas production. And as always, @ChrisOsieck + @weatherwar's intentional centering of the civilian impact is key in work like this. Bravo and thank you for all you both do.
Incredible investigation from @ChrisOsieck + @weatherwar for @newlinesmag — we keep hearing the term "precision strikes" but what does that mean in practice? This work highlights how important interdisciplinary work is in investigations.
Analysis of satellite imagery, open-source data and verified footage shows that Israeli forces have systematically destroyed homes, roads, farmland and forests despite a ceasefire with Hizbollah. https://ft.trib.al/pw09Rva

In Jnah, a strike on one reported target leveled two residential buildings in a working-class district of Lebanese families and Syrian and Sudanese migrant workers. Five people were killed alongside him, 52 wounded. No warning was issued. Israel has never acknowledged the strike.
