Hard to find data separating incidents & suspensions by race. Broward has it, and suspensions closely track incidents. In other words, higher discipline rates are mostly explained by higher incidents.

Do datacenters or Democrats make electricity more expensive? Home electricity price, pop weighted. Data center capacity per resident is negatively correlated: r = -0.37. Democrat control of state gov is positively correlated: r = +0.70

From 2019, electricity prices in D states are up 57%, from 16.0 to 25.2 ¢/kWh. In R states, they’re up 35%, from 11.8 to 15.9. Within red states, but not blue, more data centers per resident correlates with bigger price increases, r = +0.37 pop weighted, but not significant.

There’s no relationship between data center density (megawatts per million residents in a state) and electricity prices in Republican states: r = +0.02. In Democrat states there is, but it’s negative: r = -0.63.

Data centers followed cheap power. Here is a scatter of 2019 prices against megawatts per resident in 2026: Democrat states, r = -0.76 In R states, r = -0.25, because almost every red state was already cheap. Both correlations are stronger than against 2026 prices.
