يصادف اليوم الذكرى الـ60 لتولي الوالد المؤسس المغفور له الشيخ زايد "طيب الله ثراه" مقاليد الحكم في إمارة أبوظبي في 6 أغسطس 1966. محطة تاريخية شكلت انطلاقة مسيرتنا التنموية الشاملة وأرست أسس بناء الدولة الحديثة ومهدت الطريق نحو قيام اتحاد دولتنا، بفضل قيادته الحكيمة ورؤيته الملهمة التي آمنت بأن بناء الإنسان هو الركيزة الأساسية لبناء الوطن وأساس تقدمه وازدهاره، سنبقى نسير على نهجه، مستلهمين رؤيته، ومواصلين مسيرته جيلاً بعد جيل.

في ذكرى "يوم عهد الاتحاد" نجدد العهد بالولاء والانتماء لاتحادنا وأرضنا وعَلمنا، متمسكين بقيم الوحدة التي أرساها الوالد المؤسس الشيخ زايد وإخوانه الحكام، طيب الله ثراهم، وأوفياء لإرثهم الوطني الخالد. توقيع بيان الاتحاد ودستور الدولة في 18 يوليو عام 1971 يعد علامة فارقة في تاريخ الإمارات التي تمضي اليوم بثقة في صون اتحادها وتعزيز منجزاته وتأصيل القيم والمبادئ التي قام عليها لتبقى راسخة في وجدان أبناء الوطن وملهمة للأجيال القادمة.

شاركت اليوم في قمة مجموعة السبع في فرنسا، وأشكر فخامة الرئيس ماكرون على دعوته الكريمة. شكلت المشاركة فرصة مهمة للحوار وتبادل وجهات النظر حول الأوضاع في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وأهمية العمل من أجل السلام المستدام في المنطقة، وجسدت نهج الإمارات باعتبارها شريكاً فاعلاً في التعامل مع الأهداف والتحديات العالمية المشتركة واستثمار كل الفرص المتاحة من أجل مستقبل أكثر استقراراً وأمناً وازدهاراً لشعبها وشعوب العالم.
