Before last year, WEC had never exercised its capability of investigating local clerks. It has done so now in Madison, Mequon and Green Bay. Clerks, privately and publicly, have shared concern about whether they trust & want to share their issues w/ WEC.

Who cheated? How did they cheat? Somebody clicked the wrong button on several tabulators. They did it right in front of me. It was a bad mistake, but it was a simple one. Those same officials clicked the right button on those same tabulators later on, also in front of me.

UPDATE: There will be a very long delay to the Milwaukee upload. Five of the USB sticks were missing results from the election. Election officials have to go back to the absentee facility to get the results again.

How did this happen? It’ll take more reporting to find out. But election officials extracted “results” from some tabulators in 10 minutes and others in three. Election officials tell me it should take longer than three mins for results to download.
