1. Information we collect

Tweet Viewer does not require an account or ask for personal information such as name, email, or phone number. We may automatically receive standard technical data — IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system, referring page, and pages visited — which we use to operate and secure the service. The X post URLs you paste are transmitted to our servers only for the seconds required to look up the media and are not stored, logged with your identity, or shared.

2. How we use information

We use collected information only to (a) provide the download service, (b) analyze aggregated, non-identifying usage to improve features, performance, and language support, (c) prevent abuse and comply with legal obligations, and (d) serve relevant advertising where enabled. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles beyond the standard practices of the ad partners disclosed below.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of first-party cookies and local storage entries required for the site to function (for example, remembering your language and your recent download history stored only in your browser). Analytics and advertising partners may set their own cookies to measure performance and personalize ads. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect some features but will not prevent you from using the downloader.

4. Advertising and third-party partners

This site is supported by advertising, including Google AdSense. 5. Media processing and X (Twitter)

Video and image bytes are fetched by your browser directly from X's public CDN (video.twimg.com, pbs.twimg.com) and processed on your device. The files themselves never pass through our servers. X operates its own privacy policy for content hosted on its platform, and this policy does not cover X's practices.

6. Data retention and security

Aggregated log data is retained for a limited period (typically 30–90 days) for security, debugging, and analytics, then deleted or fully anonymized. We use industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards, including HTTPS encryption for all traffic. No online service can be guaranteed 100% secure, but we work to protect the limited data we hold.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU GDPR, UK GDPR, and California CCPA/CPRA — including access, deletion, and objection to processing. Because we do not require accounts, we hold very little identifiable information; where we do hold data, you may exercise your rights by contacting us at privacy@x-downloader.com. You may also clear cookies and local storage from your browser at any time.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes to our practices or to comply with legal requirements.
